receive Club of the Year award from Association of Referees
The Annual Association of Referees Leinster Branch Annual Dinner took place on the 29th March in Old Belvedere R.F.C. with over 150 people in attendance.
The guests included the President of the IRFU Der Healy, Junior Vice President of the Leinster Branch Des Lamont, Honorary Secretary of the Leinster Branch Dorothy Collins and Honorary Treasurer Ray Ryan.
The Club of the Year award went to UCD and was accepted by the Club President, David Bergin. The award is decided by the referees in a questionnaire under such headings as changing facilities, pitch conditions and markings, pre and post match hospitality, captain’s co-ordination and team attitude.
The award was presented later on that evening to Club Captain, Michael Hastings
