Due to adverse weather conditions our proposed trip to Robben Island got postponed until tomorrow. This meant that we took the morning and early afternoon at leisure. A lot of the lads returned to the leaba for a well deserved siesta. Ric (Risteard Byrne) aka 'The Hotstepper' was particularly grateful of a snooze after some elaborate moves on the dance floor of The Dubliner bar on Long Street last night!
A bite to eat on the Waterfront was followed by watching the SA-NZ test match which was played at a ferocious pace. A partisan South African crowd on the Waterfront catered for a good atmosphere to watch rugby.
The focus for the next 2 days is very much on the Western Cape University game. This will be our first full competitive game and we are all eager to put in a solid performance.
In other news Johnroy (John Conroy) celebrated his 21st birthday today. I'm not sure if he was appreciative of the lads singing him happy birthday early this morning!
