Cup Inter-Faculty Rugby
This year will see the first Newman Community Games, where teams representing different disciplines from around UCD compete against each other in soccer, tag-rugby and at a table quiz to produce one overall champion who will take home the Newman Cup, great prizes, and the respect of their peers.
Newman Rugby
The rugby is divided into four groups of three, with each team in a group playing each other. The games will take place between Tuesday the 8th of April and Thursday the 10th. The games will be 15 minutes a-side, with a 5 minute break. Two games will take place at one time. The winner of each group will be put into the semi-finals of the Cup, the winners of which will progress to the final. The runners up in each group will be put into the semi-finals of The Shield (runner up competition), the winners of which will progress to the Final of the Shield.
